Paid Advertising

Present day Digital Marketing is being done in many ways which can be categorized into paid and unpaid ads. Paid ads means where an entity will be billed by the digital platform which is used for advertising. For example, consider a social media platform. This social media platform charges for advertising based on different attributes and measurements generated by the platform for a ad campaign.

There is a chance of thinking every advertising method needs to be paid weather is may be digital or traditional. Here the perspective is, a carpenter knows how to craft a chair, that doesn't mean he gets required equipment, wood, bolts and nuts, etc. for free. Same way this way of digital marketing comes under 'paid'. Mostly all the famous digital media having their own massive users/community develops their own tools allowing business entities use their platform for marketing and advertising and charges. This is why it's called "Paid Advertising".

These platforms can be social media platform, informative platform, gaming application, a streaming platform, messaging platform, etc. It can be anything, any digital form. Consider global-known digital platform Facebook, it has 'Ads Manager' through which campaigns and ads can be run on Facebook and their another social media platform Instagram as well. Google an informative and search tech platform has 'Google Ads' in which different types of campaigns can be created and run on different Google products like Google search, Google Maps, Google Ad network (banner ads), Play Store for android apps, YouTube (for kids & music also).

Structure of a campaign for most platforms goes like Campaign > Ad group > Ad. Each step will have different features and options which differs for each platform as the results and view for each platform is varied. These options will also differ for different campaigns on same platforms for campaign goals.
